Vintage international traval and tourism ads

Mo-Pac was the Missouri and Pacific railroad.

Ontario looks fun as hell in that ad. Visit? Hell no, I want to live there!

This ad was approved by NAMBLA.

Classic design.

Ceylon got tired of being peaceful, so it changed it's name to Sri Lanka so the fighting could commence!

I love these deceptively simple illustrations of 1956 Rome

These come from a 1956 issue of Holiday magazine.

Coming soon

More kick ass pictures from this early 1960's coffee table book:
Most of the rest will be in black and white but they're still stunning photos nonetheless.

Milwaukeeans celebrating Fall Holiday Folk Fair.

Town House Motel, Hightstown, NJ. A member of the Congress of Motor Motels.

Lord Salisbury Motel, Salisbury, MD. Forty rooms and six hundred feet back from the noisy highway.

I love motel postcards.
